ice.NET Installation

Prerequisites

To run an ice.NET application on an application server, the following software infrastructure is required (one of each section):

• Application Server:
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5
  • Windows Server 2012 R2 with IIS 8.5
  • Windows 7 with IIS 7.5 (as Development/Demo Environment only)
  • Windows 10 with IIS 10 (as Development/Demo Environment only)
• Runtime Environment:
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 (full profile)
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 (full profile)
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6 (full profile)
• Database Server:
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (Standard or Express Edition)
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (Standard or Express Edition)
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2014 (Standard or Express Edition)
  • Oracle 11g (requires Oracle/OCI client)
  • Oracle 11g XE (requires Oracle/OCI client)
  • Oracle 12c (requires Oracle/OCI client)

• Database Interface (for Oracle Database Server only):
  • Oracle Instant Client 11g (recommended for Oracle 11g and 12c server)
  • Oracle Instant Client 12c Version 12.1.0.1.0 (Attention: version 12.1.0.2.0 does not work!)
  • Oracle Client 11g (installed with Universal Installer)
  • Oracle Client 12c (installed with Universal Installer)
